I won't be forced to breed children!

Social opinion meme

Stolen from gruamach.

[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?

NO!

[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?

No. Head drugs intrigue me. Body drugs just make me unwell.

[03] Abortion: for or against it?

Abortion is not a right. It is a duty.

[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president?

¿Qué? No, I do not believe that a female president would govern any worse than some of the fuckwits we have had as incumbents already.

But despite the failings of male incumbents, the world is still there. I doubt that would change with a female president.

[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?

I generally believe that it is less cruel than the alternatives that the savage, bloodthirsty majority of the human race would come up with if it were denied the spectacle of ritual revenge by judicial killings. The death penalty is a human sacrifice to the god of Democracy.

People imagine that good folks like us are somehow different from the convict in the gurney, and that justifies the whole proceedings. They are wrong.

[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?

Yes. And the people who kept it illegal should themselves be punished.

[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?

For, generally. Being "against premarital sex" is like being opposed to wind and rain. The hormonal roller coaster ride is dangerous, but some people enjoy the sick feeling they get in the climbs and plunges.

[08] Do you believe in God?

Yes. The question is, does God believe in me?

[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

Yes.

[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?

Not particularly. They wouldn't come if we didn't have jobs that only they are willing to do, and laws should reflect how people do act rather than how they ought to act in a legislator's mind.

[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?

No.

[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?

The alcohol age should be lowered to fourteen: or, at minimum, be set two years before you qualify for a driver's licence. Learn what it's like to get stinking drunk first, and get it out of your system.

[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off?

There is no "war" in Iraq now, only a prolonged occupation. If there were a war in Iraq, we could win it by capturing some stronghold, defeating some army, deposing some leader. All of these things are stuff that the US military could do if it had to. The fact that no such action is proposed means there ain't no war.

The troops should be brought home, and brought home yesterday. What's the alternative? Keep them there until the Shiites and Sunnis agree to live in peace with each other and unite under one nation? How long do you think that will take? And what can the US military do to bring that day sooner? If you have any suggestions, let's "git 'r done."

[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?

No.

[15] Do you believe in spanking your children?

I have no children. The violence that was visited upon me is one reason.

[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?

gruamach would do it for $1000. I'd do it for $10.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are right. Investing reverence in a flag is idolatry; it's turning it into a fetish or talisman.

[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?

Obama. What bugs me is the reverse classism that goes under the name of "anti-elitism". Literacy is a political liability. So is education. Obama gets mocked in the media because of talking about arugula. I like arugula. It makes your salad greens spicier. If knowing what arugula is makes you an elitist, so be it. The most discriminated against minority in US politics is apparently the "elite". A vote for Obama is a vote against the cult of stupidity, seen as the source of all honest and simple virtues.

It bugged me no end when Hillary Clinton, an Ivy League educated lawyer, affected being the great champion of the white working class, puts on a show of drinking whiskey (Crown Royal, apparently. She's still too good for Old Forester), and affected an ugly accent in an attempt to reverse her political fortunes. Her willingness to raise all of that shit may yet cost the Democrats the Election.

The Republicans are more than willing to exploit all that by offering us the gun-toting Sarah Palin. I'd like to like her. Robust, outdoorsy women who can take care of themselves are hawt. But I'm not going to vote for a woman that attends a church that preaches that current events are omens of the End Times.

[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?

If I were, would I be posting them?
