Movie and book meme

1) Total number of films owned? More than 100.

2) The last film bought? Boccaccio '70. I have Wonder Woman, season 3 on order, but it doesn't ship until next Tuesday.

3) The last film watched? Metropolis, the anime; unless you count the very long Chinese serial that ksol1460 sent me.

4) 5 films that mean a lot to us or that we watch a lot?
1. The Lost City a 1930s era science fiction serial with William "Stage" Boyd as Zolok the Ligurian. "Oh, Zolok, You're so cru-ël!" Giant African zombies and gadgets from William Tesla's basement. Quite possibly the funniest picture ever made.
2. Being There, the last film Peter Sellers made, is beautiful as well as funny.
3. La Maschera del Demonio, a/k/a Black Sunday, a/k/a The Mask of Satan is an Italian picture by the great Mario Bava, who out-Hammers Hammer. And Barbara Steele has the most amazing eyes.
4. Incubus features the best scene of goat wrestling that ever appeared in an Esperanto film. William Shatner's acting style was perfect for this.
5. Il Trionfo de Maciste a/k/a Triumph of the Son of Hercules: The Mighty Sons of Hercules were men as men should be! These men of steel could never feel the curse of a coward's fears.

5) Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their journals:
theevilchemist; cavalorn; darkstella; tetsab; rufus
