Clock restoration project

I got a severely distressed striking clock a couple weeks ago.

This is a Gilbert beehive shelf clock, model name 'Croydon'. The movement dates it to 1905. The mahogany veneer is shot, peeling in parts, so I put a coat of black gloss enamel on it. The movement requires ... work. That dial is paper covered with what feels like celluloid. The copper from the grommets has over time leached into it and discolored the dial. I suspect from the condition of the case that it's been damp.

I painted it and decorated it with Memento mori themes in decoupage, inspired by the New England colonial tombstones.
