Notes of an unrepentant rockist, III

It is apparently too much to ask, for music to be about something. And by 'about something' I mean something other than sex, sexual jealousy, or other "romantic situations".

I'm thinking 95 ROCK THESES
I think it's more a question of what makes it to the radio and what doesn't... there's a vast universe of amazing music, rock and otherwise, still being created and recorded, but few if any of these modern classics make it to radio.

A lot of it has to do with corporate ownership of radio stations. Small locals get gobbled up by Clear Channel or JACK FM, and there are not enough community, independent and noncommercial stations out there introducing new music. A lot of good stations now have audio streams, people could listen on their phones, but they'd have to know what to look for in the first place.
